& Live Life One Stroke at a Time” |

The
Purpose of “1
Stroke” is to
help at risk youth refocus on their life goals, and to assist them
with identifying the drive and determination necessary to achieve
those goals.
The program will partner with the youth, and his parents or guardian,
in developing an “Approach the Green” life plan. This
team will follow an outline of events and activities that are required
for both
personal and peer development.

| The
Mission of “1 Stroke” is
to redirect youth that the juvenile court system or even a parent or
guardian
has determined to be at risk. We will assist each youth in meeting short
and long term goals in route to becoming a more positive part of their
community

The
"1 Stroke" Program .
. .
is designed to give participants a positive alternative to negative and gang like behavior. Using the game of golf, we show the comparison between life and its daily struggles to the obstacles one must overcome in a round of golf. The program’s message is to take life “1 Stroke” at a time. While participating in the program the youth will learn the game from mentors and other positive role models of the community. Police officers, firemen, city officials, college and pro athletes, along with many others, will be invited to come speak and have hands on time with the participants. This in turn will redirect their energy and focus towards something positive and constructive. |
